Discover Cuyabeno: The Magic of the Dry Season and the Living Rainforest
Discover the magic of the Cuyabeno Reserve during its dry season! From September to mid-March, rainfall decreases (though it doesn’t vanish entirely) and the water levels in rivers and lagoons drop significantly. This makes it easier to spot impressive species like anacondas, caimans, and other wildlife congregating around remaining water sources. Although the climate remains humid—because we’re in the heart of the tropical rainforest—adventure is just around the corner!
The dry season is perfect for exciting jungle hikes and relaxing canoe rides. With more stable weather, rain won’t interrupt your activities, and wildlife visibility is fantastic. Animals gather in water-rich areas, and accessing some parts of the reserve is much easier.
On the other hand, during the rainy season, from March to August, water levels rise and many rainforest areas become flooded. While this can make some areas less accessible, it also allows you to explore new regions by canoe that are out of reach during the dry season. The landscape becomes more lush and vibrant, offering a completely new Amazon experience!
Each season has its charms, so the choice of when to visit is up to you! If you’re ready for a unique experience, don’t miss our 4-day, 3-night tour. Book your adventure here and get ready for an unforgettable journey! Link to the 4-day, 3-night tour
